Unit#2 My Reflection

My Reflection Unit#2

During this unit, I learned about Pop Culture and how important pop culture is. My classmates and I did a presentation where we choose one Pop Star and I really like all presentations because I learned a lot about different Pop Stars, and I didn’t even know them, so it was really interesting. I also watched some videos that the professor posted on Brightspace about Pop Culture studies. I personally like the way we learned in this class because it is very created and didactic. My classmates and I played a game outside the school where we all found pictures related to Pop Culture. And that game was really creative, and it was the best way to learned more about this unit. In Addition, I found really interesting all the presentations that my classmates and I did about the highlights of American Pop Culture where each group had a specific epoch.

My AHA moment was when we started the unit and the professor asked us, what is Pop Culture? I immediately thought about younger people. Then the professor said, “You all know Pop Culture”.

The essence of this unit was to know more about pop culture and how we can use it in our lives. I didn’t know that “Pop Culture is recognized by members of a society as a set of the practices, beliefs and objects that are ubiquitous in a society”.

To Conclude, I think this unit was really interesting and we all learned about Pop Culture in a didactic way because during this unit we had games and some presentations, which made the unit more interesting and easier to understand.
